This week, 26-year-old keyboardist, vocalist, composer, and songwriter Salvador Santana makes his solo debut with the Keyboard City full-length. Having previously served up a remix EP for the title track, this digital DJ promo includes a smattering of remixes for the heavy funky jam, “Don’t Do It.” DJ Vadim thickens up the original beat for maximum head nod effect. Ashley Beedle and Cosmo of DarkStarr beef the track up with an in-your-face disco bass synth and cosmic tinges. Also opting to speed up the tempo, Michna turns in a quirky version with a growling bassline. After half a decade, Silhouette Brown - the original production and songwriting team of Bembe Segue, Kaidi Tatham and Dego - return with their sophomore album aptly titled, two. This time they are joined by Philadelphia’s Lady Alma and delve into an array of subject matters. Having just released her latest full-length, The Fall, Grammy Award-winner Norah Jones has unveiled a set of brilliant remixes from a few of her favorite artists and collaborators. In this digital DJ promo, femme fatale Santigold joins forces with Snotty for an intoxicating remix of the bluesy “Chasing Pirates,” while Droogs (a remix collective featuring Beck) takes the track to a druggy downtempo wonderland.
