Embracing the cyclical nature of music, Los Angeles-based producers Presto and Avatar of Wayward Saints have created a remarkable debut album, Future Vintage. Fusing hip hop, jazz, soul, funk and down-tempo for a unique sound that explores each genre without sounding chaotic or heavy-handed, Future Vintage has the breakbeat sensibility that can knock from the speakers of dance clubs, while conveying the laid-back, urban soul often found in coffeeshops and hipster hangouts. In this digital DJ promo, Noel Zancanella and GIT Beats remix the cosmic elements in “Dream Merchant.” Khurse brandishes his own take on the brooding “Ghost Town,” and collaborator DJ Rylo (Sebadukes) imbues his dexterity on “Cruisin.”
