Fat City Recordings and Prime Numbers present the much-anticipated album In The Red by Mancunian wunderkind Trus’me. In contrast to his debut album, Trus’me has collaborated with several vocalists and musicians. On this digital DJ promo, Dam-Funk, Stones Throw recording artist and L.A.’s rising star of the nu-boogie scene, joins Trus’me on a low slung interpretation of the WasNotWas disco epic "Wheel Me Out." Also on board is the jazzy Detroit innovator Amp Fiddler, who features on two tracks: a bass & rhodes heavy cover of Bill Withers’ bittersweet classic "Can We Pretend" and "Put It On Me." Paul Randolph, Jazzanova’s current front-man, provides vocals for a house’d up version of West Phillips’ boogie favourite "Sucker for a Pretty Face." Closing out the package, Trus’me flies solo on the ethereal "Sweet Mother." |

This is the best new music promo you’ve sent out in ages – Trus’me is a don and this release confirms that especially the first half of the album – great stuff…
huge! love it
The amp fiddler track is ridiculously sexy, groovy, and addictive. thank you for turning me on to trus’me. i hope he plays some giant step events in the future. ” w.a.r. dub ” is a nice one by him as well…
hotness! take it there!
Trust him, his second album is warm and gentle touch of nice and sexy deep grooves. A highway between Detroit (Pirahnahead, Amp Fiddler & Paul Randolph – last two are my fave male voices from the motircity are singing in this long player) and Chicago, past and present. Very nice cover of Bill Wither classic ‘’Can We Pretend’’ and a retro Queen/Indeep’s fat bassline on ‘’Sucker For A Pretty Face’’ give a sence of deep Prince’s funk shines like gold, or red gold better ‘’In The Red’’ album. Put your hands, ears amd eyes on ‘’Sweet Mother’’ track you will supriced of the night atmosfear. ‘’Bail Me Out’’extension of pure groove Was Not Was’s ‘’Wheel Me Out’’ with Dam-Funk sounds so magnificent. Trust ‘’Trus’ Me’’
Nice, loving it. Amp Fiddler’s track is an easy roller.
