Celebrated Senegalese master-musician Baaba Maal follows up 2001′s Grammy-nominated Missing You with his new multi-lingual album, Television. This digital DJ promo brings you the African-crossover “International,” plus a triplet of remixes featuring a poetic listing of exotic cities across the globe by Sabina Sciubba of New York’s Brazilian Girls. The John Leckie remix maintains the original’s galloping rhythm, while stripping it down to the bare dancefloor essentials. Groucho transforms “International” into a slow stomper, supplementing it with an eclectic melange of electronic synths, jazz horn and guitar licks. Topping it all off, the DJ Veany remix suffuses the world vocals with driving progressive house.
